FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How will you send over my tape? It's up to you! We can edit your tape for you, and send it via WeTransfer/Dropbox to your and/or your agent, or we can send you the individual takes for you to edit yourself via WeTransfer, Dropbox, or hard copies on the day if you bring a memory stick or device with AirDrop and space to transfer the files. We can accomodate whatever you prefer.
Can you edit the tapes? We can edit your tapes at no extra charge, or you can edit yourself if you prefer! We know sometimes editing is stressful, so we're happy to do it for you. Or, if you prefer to think over which takes you prefer at home and do it yourself, we can transfer all the files over to you. Just let us know!
How long until I receive my files? If you are editing your tape yourself, you can have your files straight away, at the session. We can send them via WeTransfer/Drobox or give you hard copies if you bring a memory stick or with AirDrop. If you want us to edit for you, we'll edit and get that sent over to you via WeTransfer/Dropbox within 30 mins of you leaving us.
Do you provide a reader? Yes, we provide a professional actor who can read in any/all characters with you. You can read more about Hannah on our homepage in the About Us section.
Do you offer direction or coaching? Yes, included in all of our services is optional coaching and direction. We understand some people want coaching, direction and notes and others don't, so just let us know and we'll adapt to what you want and need. Additionally, we also offer an extra service of Script Analysis + Self Tape which includes 30 mins of dedicated sit-down script analysis with Hannah, if desired. Full script analysis, audition prep and coaching sessions are also available.
Can I bring a friend, parent, or reader? Yes, of course. You are welcome to bring your own reader if you prefer, or a friend or family member if you wish for them to sit-in. Just let us know in advance so we can put the kettle on!
Do you work with kids? Yes, we love working with children! Just let us know in advance if there's any snacks they really love to say well done when they're finished.
How long should I book? It depends! The amount of scenes you have to tape, as well as the length of them and how tricky the scenes are will affect this. For your first session, we recommend being slightly cautious and booking maybe half an hour extra, just incase. Then next time, you'll know roughly how long you'll need. After a few sessions, clients tend to get an instinct for how long they'll need.
Do you offer discounts? Yes! We offer discounts when you purchase a pack of 5 sessions. Please see our Package Discounts section in the website menu. We also offer seasonal discounts with a few of our partners - ask us about this in your session and we'll let you know!
How do I pay? You can pay for your session online when you book. Go to our Book Online page and follow the steps! You can pay by card or purchase a discounted pack of 5 sessions and pay with your pack. Any issues and just give us a text, call, or email.
I have a last minute tape and there are no slots free. What can I do? Not to worry, give us a text, whatsapp or call and we will see if we can squeeze you in anywhere. We know tapes are often last minute so just give us a message or a call and we'll try our best to fit you in!
Do you have autocue/telepromt? Yes, if you have a really tight turnaround and haven't had time to learn your lines, sometimes autocue is the best answer. We have an ipad on a stand from which you can read the lines, and Hannah will scroll along as she reads with you. We also have a method of doing this on Zoom if you are taping with us remotely. There's absolutely no shame in that game - sometimes there is no other option, and it works really well!
I have specific ways of preparing, can you accomodate? Yes, absolutely. You can prepare however you like, and we can help with this too. Some like to go in fresh, others like to use music, mantras, hot seating, jumping around, all sorts. Hannah is a professional actor so nothing is too much or too weird. Hannah's favourite methods of pre-scene prep are mantras and music, but we can work with literally anything and know that different things work for different scenes and well as different people! We can also do an actor's warm up if you would like that.
Can you help me prepare with specific methods? Yes, of course. Just let us know what you would like and we can accomodate. If it's Strasberg, Stanislavski, Michael Chekhov, Meisner, something personal to you and your own method (so often the best!) or almost anything, we can help. Hannah is a professional actor with extensive experience in preparation so almost nothing is off limits!
Can you do remote/online e.g. via Zoom? Yes, we offer all our services online/via Zoom as well as in person, and have a separate service for if you just need a reader on Zoom. Have a look at our Services page for more info and book in online. Any questions, just get in touch!
Where are you based? Our lovely home studio is in the heart of Belsize Park, very central in North London. We are a 5 min walk from Chalk Farm tube, 10 min walk from Belsize Park and Swiss Cottage tube stations, and are near a number of Overground Stations too. There are a large number on bus stops nearby as well. We also offer our services online via Zoom for those further afield.

What do I need to bring? Please bring yourself, any costume options for your self tape, any prop options for your tape, and if you want to take home your takes in hard copy form and edit your tape yourself, a memory stick/memory card or a device on which you can take the files home (e.g. via AirDrop). We can also edit your tape for you, or send you all the takes, via WeTransfer/Dropbox. You don't need to bring copies of audition sides for us, we'll handle that!
I'm nervous! Help! First and foremost, we are here to help and support you, and take out all of the unnecessary stress of self-taping. We set this service up specifically to make self taping a fulfulling experience, and something people look forward to and get something out of, rather than dread. We're also really lovely people, and as a professional actor, Hannah totally understands the different stresses and nerves that taping might bring. Don't worry about being nervous it's natural - but we promise it'll be far less nerve racking and stressful than doing it at home! You can leave confident in your work, having enjoyed the process along the way, which is the most important thing.
